Who is Driving

I found this information to be very useful and a very encouraging. I agree totally on writing on what you believe. I found with my first essay I wanted to write about something, but was worried I would offend people, so I tried writing on a few other topics and it was just not going well. So I decided to go back to the topic I had originally wanted to write on and things started flowing into place. So lesson learned. I like also that we get to dive deeper into the topics we are passionate about, that way I can learn more on the things I love. I also like the idea we can add some of out stories and thoughts to this. It will help personalize it and make it more enjoyable. Plus doing this I will know all sides of my topic. This also gave me ideas on how to start, write questions you would like to know the answer to and then start you research, then I can take what I know and add to that. So I think choosing a topic that matters to me will make things a little easier, as I'm not so crazy about writing essays. And of course the most important thing I got out of this was this is to CREATE NEW KNOWLEDGE, how many times did she put that in there I think 6. Which I guess that would be true if you gather information and study it and it's a topic you enjoy, you are going to learn more and really put you all into it. But I think sometimes that is not possible with all collage essays. As you might have to write and essay on something your studying which might not be interesting to you. But there again you have to find something interesting to you and focus on that. I guess I had better start my research for my essay now.

  1. That's funny, I also blogged about this essay yesterday. Seems like we picked up on a lot of the same things especially that writing research essays is done to creat new knowledge! Also, that it is better to write about something you are interested in.
