Freewriting for 10 minutes on subject I believe being childlike

I believe that being childlike is great, you can look at the world with no worries, no timings, no exceptations.  You act up and no one cares, you can laugh which is great for loosing weight and makes you feel great.  Being childlike is believing in things that no one else does.  Means playing all the time and not working.  Oh I like that since I work 50 to 60 hours a week and go to school on top of that and keep up with the yard and house and cooking.  Seeing life through a child is great, you think everything is great and the world revolves around you.  You get to eat almost anything you want and now worry about putting on weight.  You can watch cartoons and no one looks at you funny.  You can go to Disney and no one looks at you funny.  I will have to say I have no kids and my husband and I went to Disney last year and  you can't help but act like a kid.  I worked with kids part of my life.  Life through there eyes is simple.  mom and dad are always there for you and they will take care of you no matter what.  They are creative they think of new ways to etertain there selves.  They love to give hugs.  Oh yea being childlike also means getting to take naps, my favorite thing to do.  Means you run around and scream and no one things your strange, you can wear what you want and no looks at you funny.  You can take baths and actually play in it because you have no time limits of a 1000 things you need to do.  I think I would like to go back to being a kid, and make some serious changes in my like.  Like enjoying school, applying myself more in school and in sports.  Have a bunch of friends and not have a serious boyfriend in highs school just enjoy the experience.    335 words in 10 minutes

  1. Man wouldn't we all like to be children again? I would kill to just sit around and not have anything to worry about. However, the only thing I don't necessarily agree with you on is dressing weird as a kid. I don't think when you dress weird as a kid no one looks at you funny. They just see it as more acceptable for a child to dress as such.

  2. Hi Connie,
There I times I would love to be a kid again, although I would rather do so in the era that I grew up in rather then in todays. I feel kids today are pushed to grow up to fast by the influences of society. I have a young teenage daughter and some days can be a bit of a challenge! It would be wonderful to take that bath and not have to hurry as you mentioned because of a thousand things to do and never enough time to get them all done. I think that it is awesome you and your husband went to Disney without children, kudos! We have been able to make the trip to Disney Land a couple of times and Disney World once. I have to say that Epcot at Disney World was my favorite because some of the rides are in air conditioning, I am a wuss, I admit it. Maybe we all need to act a little bit more like kids, I am not suggesting we be irresponsible, but more lighthearted and take things as they come rather then worrying about tomorrow.

  3. Connie,
I love your post! It is so hard for me, as a responsible adult, to be carefree. I can still remember how that felt as a kid not having a care in the world except what fun thing I would do next. There are very few times that I feel that way now but I can at least enjoy watching my kids.

  4. Connie,
I really like your post, I think sometimes we all need to sit back and look at life through a child's eye, so many of us get in such a hurry to grow up and get to where we want to go that we forget to stop and take a look at the world the way we use to when life was just an adventure with no consequences. I am about to have my first child so hopefully that will help me remember to be a kid every once in awhile.

  5. Connie I really like your post. I think that someone where we lose the child like innocence. I wish that we could have the best of both worlds. As a grown up we have responsibilities and deadlines we have to meet. A child can play or watch tv and the only deadline a child has is bedtime.

  6. Connie,
I really enjoyed your post. I definitely agree being childlike is great. I noticed in the post above mine Mac said "I wish we could have the best of both worlds." and that makes me think of Hannah Montana from Disney Channel and that just goes to show how much of a kid I still kind of am.-a girlie sounding kid even. But it would be even better if we didn't have the worries adults face and the financial issues. I just want to sit at home and watch Phineas and Ferb all summer and eat whatever my mom brings me. What a life.

  7. Oh my, I really liked you blog Connie. I am not really much other to say I can be child-like, I am pretty young myself. But I will say for a chance to go outside and run around in the dirt or play with my brother and sister would be awesome. We used to do so many crazy things when I was young and I enjoyed everything and all the moments I had as a kid. But now I can pass that on to my son Jayden.
